Schimberg Co. provides several types of seminars at our state-of-the-art training center. Training is made available to all our customers. We believe that fundamentally sound training can be a big asset to all of our customers.

What you'll cover:
Basic knowledge and fundamentals of steam and operating practices needed to maintain a safe and efficient steam system including:

  • Steam System Principals: Generation, Distribution, Utilization
  • Water Hammer Considerations and Demonstration
  • Steam Pressure and Temperature Control
  • Steam Traps: Operation and Demonstration
  • Steam Trap Sizing and Selection
  • Steam Trap Testing procedures
  • Condensate Recovery Systems
  • Energy Considerations

  • Questions and Answers

Who should attend: Maintenance, operations, facility or design engineering personnel with direct concern for the complete steam system, or those interested in improving basic steam knowledge.

Knowledge required: None

Fee: $75.00 (non-refundable)

Seminar Length: The Schimberg Steam Training Seminar is a 1 day course.

Level II Maintenance Course for Steam Systems 

What you'll cover:
Basic knowledge and fundamentals for your steam system with hands-on instruction. To include review of steam fundamentals and instruction on maintenance, troubleshooting and repair techniques for:
  • Pressure Reducing, Temperature Control, Pneumatic Rotary Control and Steam Isolation Valves.
  • Steam Traps (Sizing, Selection, Testing, Repair and Overhaul).
  • Non-electric Condensate Return Pumps.
  • Steam System Troubleshooting.

Who should attend: Plant maintenance, pipe fitters, plumbers, mill rights, and operators responsible for maintaining and installing equipment in a steam system.

Knowledge required: You must have completed our Basic Steam Training Course.

Fee: $150.00 per person (non-refundable)

The Schimberg Co. Level II  Course for Steam Systems is a 1 day course with a limit of 10 students per class. 

Lunch provided.

Level III Advanced Steam Seminar

What you'll cover:
Basic knowledge and fundamentals to design and maintain a steam system.

Who should attend: Any Design, Mechanical or Process Engineer responsible with a Steam System Design and Operation.

Knowledge required: Must have attended the Level I Schimberg Basic Steam Training Seminar or have at least 5 years experience in designing Steam Systems.

Fee: $200.00 per person (non-refundable)

Seminar Length: This is a 1 day course.

Lunch provided.
